Lewis Hamiltons championship hopes were dealt a massive blow at the Malaysian Grand Prix as his engine failed as he led the race with 16 laps to go.Hamilton had led away from pole position and into Turn 1, while teammate and championship leader Nico Rosberg was spun around at the first corner and knocked out of contention. Hamilton had moved onto the hard compound mid-way through the race and looked to be pulling out a vital lead over Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen.However, with 16 laps remaining, Hamilton pulled up at Turn 1 with flames pouring from the back of his car.
