After a meeting with the Chicago Cubs on Friday, CBS Chicago reporter Bruce Levine reported that the free agent catcher and his agent have meetings lined up with three more teams, including the Toronto Blue Jays. The 31-year-old Toronto native is viewed as one of the top free agent options behind the plate on the strength of a .290/.402/.430 slash line in 111 games last season. His on-base percentage was third best among National League hitters with at least 300 at-bats, trailing only Colorados Troy Tulowitzki and his Pittsburgh Pirates teammate Andrew McCutchen. Japanese men have won the first two Grand Prix events and Yuzu has said hes hoping to ride the wave to gold at the Cup of China. As strong as the Japanese men are, its the Russian women who are dominating the ladies events this season. It is possible - in fact quite likely - that the Russian women could win all of the Grand Prixs and qualify four or five spots out of a total six spots at the final. Thats how deep their women are.
