Congratulations to Southern California, they are a great team. I think we did a great job of being able to keep them contained. Dani Rice in our defense was fantastic throughout the match, to shut out and attack like that. Then their goalkeeper made a great save. One great save, and we hit the post on the other one, but she was up to the task and they deserved to win. I didnt think we deserved to lose, but I think a very good Southern California team now moves on.On the season... This, to an extent, was a little bit like a lot of our season. True grit, fight, determination and love for each other. We pulled through some tough times during the season, and some really tough times today during the match. We came up a bit short, but they should always be proud of the effort. On what you tell to returning players... Well be second guessing ourselves on different things. The biggest thing is were going to return the majority of this team. The majority of the players in this lineup come back, with three of our redshirts coming back next year. Well be excellent going forward, and these seniors have been a big part in helping propel this program to the top in the very near future. Victor Lindelof Manchester United Jersey . Anthony Martial Manchester United Jersey . Most important, perhaps, it went off without a hitch. Organizers poked a little fun at the now-infamous opening ceremony gaffe that saw only four out of five snowflakes open up into rings, leaving the Olympics logo one ring short. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson Jersey . The FA rejected Wilsheres appeal that the length of his punishment was "clearly excessive" and said Thursday his suspension begins with immediate effect. He will miss league matches against Chelsea on Monday and West Ham on Dec. CHICAGO -- People have questioned Jay Cutlers leadership from virtually the moment he arrived in town. But Cutler, 33, played a large role in a 20-10 victory over the?Minnesota Vikings?in more ways than one Monday night.Chicago Bears?receiver Alshon Jeffery revealed that Cutler delivered a pregame speech to the entire team that resonated throughout the locker room.He was talking about giving relentless effort, Jeffery said. He said to give it everything you got and play for each other.Cutler said he meant for the speech to be inspirational. The Bears had lost three straight heading into their prime-time matchup with Minnesota and wanted to avoid falling to 1-7.It was about inspiration, Cutler said. Everyone in there is from different backgrounds, different cultures, societies, family lives and schools. Whatever it takes to find that inspiration because motivation usually wears off at some point during the game. Those guys played inspired football, so it was fun to be a part of.Cutler said he draws personal inspiration from a lot of outside sources, including his wife andd children.dddddddddddd.Well, its very personal, Cutler said. Its been 11 years of [his playing in the NFL] and to be part of a locker room like that and get the game ball like that, it was fun.In his first game back after being sidelined five weeks with a thumb injury, Cutler went 20-of-31 for 252 yards and one touchdown (100.5 quarterback rating). The offense, which had struggled to reach the end zone in recent weeks, scored a pair of touchdowns with Cutler at the helm.Whether he quieted fans who thought the Bears were better off with Brian Hoyer is another issue. But that became a moot point when Hoyer broke his left arm last week in a Thursday night loss at Green Bay.I was so happy [to have Cutler back], tight end Zach Miller said. Hes the emotion on the football field. To have him back means a lot. We play well around him. Everybody played well. It was just good to get a win.Information from The Associated Press was used in this report. ' ' '
