visiting Acadie-Bathurst Titan 2-1 on S Antworten

Hes back! For the first time since June 26, its Kershaw Day! But hes not alone as the Friday slate is stacked, which means a wide-open DFS night. The flip side is the lack of potentially available options to spot into your lineup in seasonal formats. No matter what style you play, heres what you need to kick off the weekend on a high note.PitchingEliteDont worry, well get to him, but his mound opponent checks in at the top of a populated elite tier. Jose Fernandez takes the hill as the Miami Marlins entertain the Los Angeles Dodgers in South Beach. Those who own Fernandez in seasonal formats may want to make some contingency plans, as the Fish have said they may shut their ace down if the club slides out of playoff contention. With three-fifths of their starting rotation sidelined, the chance of a late surge is remote. As for DFS, Fernandez is matchup proof, though the visitors do offer some strikeout upside to his already league-leading whiff rate. Its just a matter of being willing to pony up the budget.Yes, its true, Clayton Kershaw returns to the hill on Friday. Beware, however, the Los Angeles Dodgers southpaw will be on a strict pitch limit, likely around 60. This takes him out of play for DFS but is plenty ample to use in traditional leagues, especially if youre looking more for ratio protection than wins and whiffs. Unfortunately, other than a crystal ball, theres nothing that can be used to gauge Kershaws expectations. Sure, he cruised through three innings in his only rehab start, throwing 34 pitches (23 strikes). But considering this was at High-A Rancho Cucamonga, facing mostly kids barely old enough to legally consume adult beverages, the results are secondary to Kershaw escaping pain-free.Carlos Martinez is a solid pitcher in a great spot, thus warranting elite status. That said, during a stretch where the ball is flying out of the yard at a record pace, the St. Louis Cardinals right-hander hasnt allowed a home run in five straight outings -- even more impressive considering four were on the road in homer-friendly venues. Martinez is back in power-suppressing Busch Stadium, facing a Milwaukee Brewers squad thats the easiest in the league to punch out.Jon Lester is a more highly skilled pitcher than Martinez but draws a much tougher foe in their favorable digs as the Chicago Cubs meet the Houston Astros in the opener of an interleague set. The hosts fan more against righties than southpaws, but their whiff rate with a left-hander on the hill is still above average. The Astros are loaded with right-handed swingers, so consider Lester strictly as a high-risk, high-reward GPP play.Next up is Madison Bumgarner, who usually lands higher in the elite tier but loses points from having to face a tough Arizona Diamondbacks club in the desert. The Snakes sport a robust .357 weighted on-base average (wOBA) versus southpaws, making the San Francisco Giants left-hander another hurler better suited for GPP play than cash games. The final elite option is Danny Salazar, leading the Cleveland Indians into Target Field for an AL Central affair with the Minnesota Twins. In the right-handers favor is the fact that the Twins arent very disciplined, helping to mitigate Carrascos main crutch -- a high walk rate. Add Salazar to the list of upper-echelon tournament targets.SolidJust missing the elite cut by decimal points is Yu Darvish taking the hill in Anaheim as the Texas Rangers visit the Los Angeles Angels. This is a great game to address the question of how much a dominant pitcher loses facing the toughest team in the game to punch out. The safe play is to avoid Darvish in tournaments, especially with the bountiful array of high-end options.Tanner Roark is a good pitcher, just not 2.89 ERA good, as evidenced by a 3.77 FIP and 4.22 xFIP. His 7.1 K/9 is below average, while his 2.9 BB/9 is right around the league norm. Lady Luck has been on Roarks side all season, as a .276 batting average on balls in play, 9 percent home run per fly ball rate (HR/FB) and 78 percent left-on-base rate (LOB%) all suggest a degree of good fortune along with good pitching. This is important when ranking Roark next season, as hell have a hard time repeating a sub-3 ERA. The main repercussion this season is his DFS salary is artificially high on sites that use ERA in their pricing algorithm. That said, salary is secondary in cash games. On Friday, Roark sets up nicely for cash play facing the Philadelphia Phillies?at Nationals Park. The Washington Nationals will be huge favorites facing rookie right-hander Jake Thompson.Making the New York Yankees resurgence even more impressive is that Michael Pineda has not won a game since Aug. 5, recording a loss and four no-decisions since. The 27-year-old right-hander will try for his first victory in over a month against the Tampa Bay Rays?at Tropicana Field. Pinedas 10.2 K/9 and 2.5 BB/9 are elite. His woes are tied to a second consecutive campaign being crushed by a high BABIP and HR/FB, along with a low LOB%. Just as good pitching was attributed to some of Roarks lucky season, not all of Pinedas issues are pitching into bad luck. Still, you cant ignore his stellar skills metrics, making him one of the most frustrating hurlers to analyze -- let alone own in traditional fantasy formats. Friday night marks a chance to recoup some of those seasonal losses as Pineda sets up as one of the highest-upside, albeit risky, tournament arms on the docket.Rick Porcello seeks to become the seasons first 20-game winner Friday night as the Boston Red Sox head north of the border for an important weekend series with the Toronto Blue Jays. The Jays?are obviously dangerous, so capturing that milestone victory wont be easy; however, since Porcello doesnt issue many free passes and does a good job keeping the ball in the yard, he possesses the repertoire to get it done. Still, considering the risk, Porcello is best used as a contrarian option in GPPs since his ownership will be tempered on the loaded slate.Has Kevin Gausman finally figured it out? If the past couple of months are any indication, the Baltimore Orioles 25-year-old righty is headed in the right direction, registering a 3.08 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 72 whiffs and only 22 walks over his past 64? innings. Next up is a tough matchup against the Detroit Tigers in Comerica Park. The Tigers are a lot like the Jays -- a powerful, mostly right-handed group with some swing-and-miss in their lineup. Yup, you guessed it -- Gausman is another tournament candidate.StreamersAs alluded to in the intro, the inventory for streaming is less than ideal. Tyler Skaggs fell just short of the solid tier, so hell lead off the spot starters with a home affair against the Rangers. The young Angels lefty holds the platoon edge over several key visiting bats. In addition, the Rangers have scuffled on the road against southpaws since the All-Star break, exacerbated by taking a huge park hit.Pittsburgh Pirates rookie Steven Brault is also a play largely due to his pitcher-friendly home park. Facing the offensively-challenged Cincinnati Reds is a factor as well. The New York Mets join their Bronx counterparts in making an improbable playoff run. The NL part of the Big Apple duo open a series at Turner Field against the Atlanta Braves. Neither offense is particularly daunting, so both starters are viable. The home team will send John Gant with his impressive 9.2 K/9 and 2.8 BB/9 to the hill, squaring off with the visitors?Robert Gsellman. Forced to pick between the two, home-field advantage gives the edge to Gant.AvoidOnly Braden Shipley falls in the automatic avoid tier with a projected Game Score of 44. His pitch-to-contact style along with a high walk rare feeds right into the San Francisco Giants Keep the line moving attack. Throw in that the contest will be played at Chase Field, and its understandable why the forecast is pessimistic.Joining Shipley on the fantasy bench is Philadelphia Phillies rookie Jake Thompson. The righty has a bright future but presently is too raw to trust against the Washington Nationals, especially in their park.Add Tyler Duffey to the avoid group. The Minnesota Twins just recalled the righty to face the lefty-heavy Cleveland Indians. Despite the game being a home affair, keep in mind that Target Field is a hitters park with the inclement warm weather also facilitating more homers this season.HittingAs referenced in the pitching notes, the Giants are a tough draw for Shipley. The Giants are second only to the Dodgers in terms of lowest strikeout rate against right-handers, while Shipley checks in with a meek 4.9 K/9. Brandon Crawford and Brandon Belt enjoy the platoon advantage, but dont ignore the right-handed contingent featuring Eduardo Nunez at leadoff with Buster Posey and Hunter Pence occupying the productive 3- and 4-holes.Similarly, Nationals lefties Daniel Murphy and Bryce Harper benefit from the platoon bump with righty Thompson on the hill, but the righty-swinging Nats are not to be slept on. Thompson struggles with control, toting a high 4.9 BB/9, while the Nationals are above average in terms of patience, mitigating the possible platoon advantage for the freshman Phillie. Trea Turner, Jayson Werth, Wilson Ramos and Anthony Rendon are all capable of productive games. The Indians have been frequent occupants of this space recently and it has paid off; theyve scored at least six runs in seven of their past nine games, including four with at last eight tallies. Look for another busy night with Carlos Santana, Jason Kipnis, Francisco Lindor, Mike Napoli, Jose Ramirez and Lonnie Chisenhall all great targets. Even bottom-of-the-order hitters Abraham Almonte and Tyler Naquin are in play for a Tribe stack.Houston Astros right-hander?Joe Musgroves 8.4 K/9 and 1.9 BB/9 are too good to be included with the automatic avoid pitchers; however, facing the Chicago Cubs, hes a risk on account of a high 1.7 HR/9. Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant are in the best position to take Musgrove deep if you can work in either as a stand-alone tournament option. Most likely to hit a homer: Bryce HarperMaybe next season well add an under-the-radar pick to go deep along with the chalkier choice. But thats next season. With Thompson and his 1.9 HR/9 on the hill in the nations capital, Harper is the call. Most likely to steal a base: Josh HarrisonHarrison isnt a burner, but hes plenty capable of taking advantage of hitting leadoff against a weak arm in?Tim Adleman?and a Reds receiving unit that doesnt catch many runners. George Gervin Spurs Jersey . Darren Helm scored on Detroits sixth attempt in the shootout and then Jonas Gustavsson stopped Andrew Shaws shot, lifting the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-4 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night. Bruce Bowen Jersey .B. - Sebastien Auger made 44 saves as the Saint John Sea Dogs edged the visiting Acadie-Bathurst Titan 2-1 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action. https://www.spurslockerroom.com/Manu-Ginobili-City-Edition-Jersey/ . Bjorn, who had a 36-hole total of 8-under 134, made a testing six-foot putt to save par on the 16th and a birdie on the 17th before bogeying the final hole after a misjudged approach shot. American Kevin Streelman was in second place after shooting a 69. LaMarcus Aldridge Jersey . How great will be revealed in the next couple of days at the board of governors meeting in Pebble Beach, Calif. Marco Belinelli Jersey . Zvonareva, who won the tournament in 2009 and 10, couldnt handle her opponents big groundstrokes in only her third event back after 17 months out with a shoulder injury. Zvonareva made her comeback in January in Shenzhen and played in the Australian Open but lost her first matches at both tournaments. CHICAGO -- Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook has been ruled out for a game against the New York Rangers due to an upper-body injury.Seabrook got hurt in the second period of Tuesday nights 4-0 victory over Arizona. He awkwardly tumbled into the boards after a hit by Jordan Martinook.Seabrook, who has two goals and 14 assists in 28 games, is day to day. The durable Seabrook missed just one regular-season ggame last season.dddddddddddd.The Blackhawks also were without captain Jonathan Toews and goaltender Corey Crawford for Friday nights matchup with New York. Toews hasnt played since Nov. 23 because of an upper-body injury, and Crawford is recovering from an emergency appendectomy. ' ' '
