NFC EASTDallas Cowboys (W 27-17 v Baltimore)The Dallas train toward the Super Bowl continues, and is picking up pace. We have talked at length before about impressive rookies Ezekiel Elliott, and Dak Precott - who picked up 301 yards and three TDs, by the way - but lets look at their wide receivers for once. Dez Bryant earned 80 yards, and hauled in two of those TDs, while the underrated Cole Beasley (59 yards, one TD) had another impressive outing. Grade A Highlights of the Dallas Cowboys win over the Baltimore Ravens in week 11 of the NFL Washington Redskins (W 42-24 v Green Bay)Rob Kelley - wow! The rookie Redskins running back had a breakout 137-yard and three touchdown performance in an impressive win over the Packers. The whole offence was clicking, in fact, with QB Kirk Cousins also putting in a three-TD display, and Pierre Garcon and Jamison Crowder hauling in over 100 yards each. Grade A Highlights from the Washington Redskins victory over the Green Bay Packers. Video from NFL.com New York Giants (W 22-16 v Chicago)New Yorks come-from-behind win over Chicago owed much to the emergence of a run game and a more balanced approach on offence. Rashad Jennings - out for much of the year to injury - earned 85 yards off 21 attempts, running in for a score from two yards out to boot. Grade B+ Highlights of the New York Giants win over the Chicago Bears in week 11 of the NFL Philadelphia Eagles (L 15-26 @ Seattle)While theres no disgrace in losing to the Seahawks, in Seattle, the Eagles continue to fluctuate wildly between good and bad. Ryan Mathews, good last week (109 yards, two TDs), was bad this (31 yards). Carson Wentz too threw two picks to go with two TDs. It all results in Philadelphia owning a reflective, good and bad, 5-5 record. Grade C-NFC NORTHDetroit Lions (W 26-19 v Jacksonville)The Lions earned another win over the hapless Jags, but doing so in somewhat peculiar fashion. None of their three touchdowns came from the arm of Matthew Stafford - instead Andre Roberts returned a punt 55 yards for a score, Rafael Bush ran back a pick-six from 39 yards out, and tight end Eric Ebron punched in a touchdown from the one-yard line. Grade B+ Highlights of the Detroit Lions win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 11 of the NFL Minnesota Vikings (W 30-24 v Arizona)The Vikings break out of their funk and end their four-game winless run with a somewhat attritional triumph over the Cardinals, despite only 217 yards of total offence. A win is a win though, and it keeps Minnesota joint top of the North with Detroit. Grade B Highlights of the Arizona Cardinals win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11 of the NFL. Green Bay Packers (L 24-42 @ Washington)Green Bays horror run stretches to four straight losses. Their underachieving ways in 2016 were further highlighted in defeat to a Washington outfit who by way of contrast, continue to overachieve. One positive; Aaron Rodgers is at least looking like Aaron Rodgers again, with 351 yards and three TDs off 41 attempts. Grade D Chicago Bears (L 16-22 @ New York Giants)A particularly disappointing defeat for the Bears, perhaps the most frustrating of their eight on the season. Up 16-9 at the break, Chicago were shutout in the second half. Grade DNFC SOUTHTampa Bay Buccaneers (W 19-17 @ Tampa Bay)What a win for the Bucs, inflicting that rarest of things, a Kansas City Chiefs home defeat; and after they had won five on the trot too. Jameis Winston put in another impressive display - 24 completions off 39 attempts for 331 yards and one TD, kind of impressive. Grade A Highlights of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win over the Kansas City Chiefs in week 11 of the NFL Carolina Panthers (W 23-20 v New Orleans)The Panthers held off a fourth-quarter rally from the Saints to win a third in four, and keep themselves in contention for the play-offs as a result, following their dodgy start to the campaign. But the win didnt come without a cost, with a teary Luke Kuechly out to concussion, plus injuries to Ryan Kalil (shoulder), Mario Addison (foot) and Leonard Johnson (chest). Grade A- Highlights from the Carolina Panthers 23-20 win over the New Orleans Saints. Video from NFL.com New Orleans Saints (L 20-23 @ Carolina)The Saints defeat owed much to Drew Brees struggles for most of the game. The New Orleans QB threw for a spectacular 465 yards and four touchdowns when they beat Carolina earlier in the year, but was limited to nearly half that tally this time round, also throwing an interception. Grade C-Atlanta Falcons - ByeNFC WESTSeattle Seahawks (W 26-15 v Philadelphia)A third straight win for the Seattle, who are doing what the Seahawks seem to do each and every year, peaking at the right time for the November/December run-in to the play-offs. Grade A Highlights of the Seattle Seahawks 26-15 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Video from NFL.com Arizona Cardinals (L 24-30 @ Minnesota)The Cardinals inconsistent season continues, falling to the Vikings, and their equally miserly defence. Defeat is made worse too by the worrying news that their beloved head coach, Bruce Arians, has been hospitalised with chest pains. Grade CLos Angeles Rams (L 10-14 v Miami)Jared Goffs first NFL start was, well, uninspiring… The rookie QB threw for just 134 yards off 31 attempts. In spite of that, a three-quarter shutout from a dominant Rams D, and a first TD in six weeks for Todd Gurley, helped Los Angeles hold a 10-0 lead late in the fourth quarter. The one-win 49ers ran the New England Patriots - with the second-best record in the NFL - closer than many thought they would.dddddddddddd Colin Kaepernick threw for two touchdowns, and Carlos Hyde looked back to somewhere near his best following his long injury lay-off with 110 all-purpose yards. But San Franciscos search for win No 2 continues. Grade DAFC EastNew England Patriots (W 30-17 @ San Francisco)Potential banana skin avoided here as Tom Brady returned to the west coast, to take on the team he supported as a child. Despite playing them close, New England ran up 17 points in the fourth quarter to take the game away from the 49ers. Its difficult to judge the improvement of the Patriots D against a team on a nine-game losing streak, and Carlos Hyde made a few big plays for his highlights reel, but the AFC leaders always looked in control. Grade B Highlights of the New England Patriots victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Video from NFL.com Buffalo Bills (W 16-12 @ Cincinnati)Though not spectacular on paper, or even on tape, this was an important win for Buffalo who had lost their previous three. They overcame 77 penalty yards and a Tyrod Taylor interception on the one-yard line, to move to 5-5 and maintain their search for a return to the post-season. Grade B- Highlights of the Buffalo Bills win over the Cincinnati Bengals in week 11 of the NFL Miami Dolphins (W 14-10 @ Los Angeles)A wins a win, right? It wasnt pretty for much of this game, as Ryan Tannehill led nine scoreless drives before a four-minute spell that resulted in two touchdowns. Miamis offensive line missed a couple of key members and struggled to deal with L.As destructive defence, but the Dolphins escape to win their fifth straight and stay in the hunt for a play-off spot. Grade C Highlights of the Miami Dolphins win over the Los Angeles Rams in week 11 of the NFL New York Jets - byeAFC NorthPittsburgh Steelers (W 23-9 @ Cleveland)The Steelers were back to their best running the ball, albeit against the leagues only winless team. Pittsburgh scored eight points in the last action of the first half, a cushion which they never relinquished. The defence registered eight sacks, and the win snaps a four-game losing streak while giving them a share of the division lead. Never mind the opponent, its an important victory. Grade B Highlights of the Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Cleveland Browns in week 11 of the NFL Baltimore Ravens (L 27-17 @ Dallas)A tough loss for a tough defence. Quarterback Joe Flacco said after the game that he thought Baltimore had the beating of the Boys, but they just couldnt hang with the Dallas offence as the game wore on. Steve Smith recorded his 1,000th career catch, but Baltimore need to improve their pass rush if they are going to put elite QBs under pressure. Grade CCincinnati Bengals (L 16-12 v Buffalo)Injuries to A.J Green and Giovanni Bernard rubbed salt in the wounds of a loss that takes them out of the play-off race. Andy Daltons hail Mary smacked of desperation, unable to move the ball in the second half. Mike Nugent missed two extra point kicks and Cincinnati drop to 3-6-1, with a tough road trip to Baltimore up next. Grade D The Bengals lost Green #18 and Bernard and are now struggling to make the play-offs Cleveland Browns (L 23-9 v Cleveland)What more can be said about the 0-11 Browns? Quarterback Cody Kessler left the game with a concussion and head coach Hue Jackson is doubtful whether the rookie will make it back this season. Whats worse is that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger now has as many wins (10) in Cleveland as any of the Browns quarterbacks since 1999. Its tricky to judge the Browns week on week - theyre not much worse than previous weeks, but the ceiling is so low. Time is ebbing away for them to grab a win. Grade EAFC SouthIndianapolis Colts (W 24-17 v Tennessee)A huge win to maintain pressure on the Houston Texans came at a cost. Andrew Luck finished the game but has since entered concussion protocol, and is highly doubtful for their Thanksgiving game with the Steelers. Three touchdowns in the first half put Indianapolis ahead, and relied on their defence to get the win, something they have been unable to do until now. Grade B+ Highlights of the Indianapolis Colts win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 11 of the NFL. Houston Texans (L 27-20 @ Oakland)The Texans could have won this game. Brock Osweiler started off brightly, and they were tied at 20-20 with just six minutes remaining. However, decisions went against them all day, Osweiler lost momentum and the Raiders stepped up a gear to steal the victory. Houston twice settled for field goals, showing their inability to convert redzone chances, and its hard to see where a play-off win, should they make it, will come from. Grade C Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was declared out of bounds before going on to score a touchdown. However replays are inconclusive Tennessee Titans (L 24-17 @ Indianapolis)This was a huge opportunity lost for the Titans. They gave up five sacks to the worst pass rush in the league, Perrish Cox missed a golden chance to intercept Lucks touchdown pass to T.Y Hilton, and Jason McCourty was punished 33 yards for a pass interference call that led to the Colts first score. It was a performance riddled with mistakes, leaving themselves too much work to do. Grade DJacksonville Jaguars (L 26-19 @ Detroit)It was a fourth quarter crisis of confidence from a team not used to seeing themselves in the lead. Quarterback Blake Bortles struggled with his accuracy all day, forcing his wide receivers to make athletic catches. They did force two turnovers though. Before this game they had not registered one in their previous five games. As good as it gets for a team that cant get out of its own way this year. Grade D-AFC West Oakland Raiders (W 27-20 v Houston)This was a tight game that Oakland could have easily lost. Officiating decisions went with the Raiders, but there were great fourth-quarter touchdown runs from Jamize Olawale and Amari Cooper, making defenders miss and getting yards after the catch. The pitch made it difficult but this was the sort of game that turns play-off hopefuls into Super Bowl contenders. Grade B- Highlights of the Oakland Raiders 27-20 win over the Houston Texans. Video from NFL.com Kansas City Chiefs (L 19-17 v Tampa Bay)Just when you think you know the Chiefs, they allow the Bucs to come into town and snap an unbeaten home streak that lasts over year (since October 11, 2015, to be exact). This team missed their star cornerback Marcus Peters, and couldnt cope with the threat Mike Evans possessed. However, it was a costly redzone interception that denied Kansas City their eighth win of the season, and instead sees them lose a step on the Raiders. Good news was that Justin Houston returned after knee surgery, which has kept him out since February.
