13:20 remaining.Tennessee took command from Antworten

Welcome to Week 10! Were down to four teams on bye this week, but in combination with the injuries, there are still difficult choices for fantasy owners. The teams on bye this week are the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts and the Oakland Raiders, while the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens have already played on Thursday (as the Browns lost yet another game while offering little in the way of fantasy point production).Injury concerns regarding players heading into the Sunday and Monday games can be critical. Each Saturday, this entry will be dedicated to each player who appears on the official weekly NFL game status injury report and how his status might impact fantasy teams. For those who might be new to this feature: Injury reports provide some insight into a players status. The NFL requires teams to submit practice injury reports several times a week, identifying the body part that is involved in the injury. This year, there has been a change in the language of injury reporting, per the league office. The most notable change is the removal of the probable designation. For more detailed information on the changes and what they mean, click here.Early in the week, the practice injury reports indicate whether a player did not practice, was limited in practice or was a full participant in practice. On Fridays, all teams file a game status injury report assigning one of the following designations: questionable, doubtful or out. The designations listed here reflect the injury reports filed with the league office Friday evening. Teams playing Monday night do not have to issue their designations until Saturday. The explanation for each designation is as follows:Out: This is the easy one: The guy is not playing this week.Questionable (Q): This remains the most dreaded player designation. By definition it means a player is uncertain to play. How uncertain is uncertain? There is no percentage or measurement scale, so this classification remains rather vague. Whether a player ends up active or inactive often comes down to a game-time decision based on how he feels on game-day morning or how he performs during warm-ups. Final inactives are due 90 minutes before kickoff.Doubtful (D): The doubtful designation means a player is unlikely to play that week. Rarely does a player labeled as doubtful end up playing, unless he experiences a major turnaround before game time. Each week in this Saturday feature, we run down a list of key fantasy players, by position, who appear in the Friday injury report, along with the injured body part as listed on the report, player status and any relevant developments or insight. The primary fantasy positions are covered (quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end). This year, at the end of each positional section, there is a subgroup of players: Players off game status injury report. The probable tag no longer exists, so players who would have been listed as probable in previous years are now simply removed from the report. This means there will be players who appear in the practice injury reports during the week but will not appear on the game-status report Friday, since they are presumed active for game day. They are included in this article so that fantasy owners can see where players who were on the practice injury report during the week have been upgraded in advance of the games. At the end, key fantasy players listed Friday as out for the weeks games will appear as a group.QuarterbacksRyan Fitzpatrick, New York Jets, knee, (Q): Fitzpatrick sprained the MCL in his left knee in Week 9 and coach Todd Bowles was clear: Fitzpatrick needed to practice in order to play Sunday. Practice he did, albeit on a limited basis daily. Although he is listed as questionable, ESPN.coms Rich Cimini makes the case for Fitzpatrick to be the likely starter. Still, Bowles has made it a game-time decision so fantasy owners who are rolling the dice with Fitzpatrick may want to wait until the team announces pregame inactives.Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys, back, (Q): It really doesnt matter for fantasy purposes whether Romo is active for this game or not as it clearly remains Dak Prescotts job for the time being. Still, this is a huge development from a health perspective. Romo has been medically cleared and returned to three consecutive days of full participation in practice after sitting out the first half of the season recovering from an L1 vertebral compression fracture. Even when he was playing regularly in recent history, we didnt see Romo practice three days in a row. The team has indicated they will wait until Sunday morning to determine whether he is active for this game. If nothing else, the Cowboys are close to having two healthy, capable quarterbacks, something any number of other teams would welcome at this point of the season.Players Off Game Status Injury Report:Alex Smith, QB, Kansas City Chiefs, head/ear: Smith sat out the Week 9 contest in what the Chiefs described as a precautionary move, but he resumed full practice immediately this week. The team announced Monday that Smith would be the starter, so his removal from the game status injury report comes as no surprise.Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers, knee: Roethlisberger returned to the playing field in Week 9, just three weeks after arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to address a meniscal tear. He was rusty to start but improved as the game progressed. His mobility may not be what it once was, but he proved he could get through an entire game without a setback. Another week removed from surgery can only be a good thing, as is the fact that Roethlisberger was able to practice in full all week. His removal from the game status injury report proves the team has no concerns about his Sunday status.Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks, knee: The only body part still listed next to Wilsons name is knee and even that continues to improve. On Monday night, Wilson looked as good as he has since the season started, a clear reflection of his improving health. While he may not yet be 100 percent, his performance in Week 9 should instill more confidence that he can continue to improve in the second half. This week the Seahawks travel east to face the Patriots, not the easiest task, but Wilsons schedule is pretty appealing thereafter.Running BacksDoug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hamstring, (Q): Will this be the week we see the re-emergence of Martin? It appears that way, although its unclear just how much work Martin would handle in his first outing in two months. Out since Week 2 with a hamstring injury (his absence was extended by an aggravation of the original injury during a workout before the Week 5 Monday night game), Martin was in practice each day this week, culminating in a full practice effort Friday. Listed as questionable for the Week 10 game, Martins status was expected to be formally determined over the weekend leading up to a game-time announcement. The Tampa Bay Times is reporting Martin will indeed be active Sunday against the Bears.Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams, thigh, (Q): Gurley cropped up on the injury report with an unspecified thigh injury, and it kept him off the practice field Wednesday. Although he was also listed as a non-participant Thursday, the team did not conduct a practice, so this was merely a projection. Gurley returned Friday and posted a full practice, an encouraging sign. He traveled east with the team and the expectation, barring a surprise, is that he will play. The bigger challenge may be facing a stalwart Jets run defense.Carlos Hyde, San Francisco 49ers, shoulder, (Q): Hyde remained in a non-contact blue jersey in practice throughout the week and was listed as limited. He has said his shoulder continues to feel better, his range of motion has improved and he has raised his activity level somewhat, including hitting the blocking sled Thursday for the first time since his Week 6 injury. Still, there remains some doubt as to his game status since coach Chip Kelly indicated the medical staff will not make a decision until Sunday morning. Fantasy owners who are considering using Hyde should have a backup plan in place. This is a late game with kickoff at 4:25 p.m. ET.James Starks, Green Bay Packers, knee, (Q): It appears Starks has a chance to make his return from arthroscopic knee surgery on Sunday after practicing on a daily basis, albeit in limited fashion. Coach Mike McCarthy has praised Starks efforts in practice, but his Sunday status will still come down to a game-time decision. As ESPN.coms Rob Demovsky points out, the Packers may ease Starks back into action and continue to rely heavily on Ty Montgomery. Fantasy owners considering using Starks will want to check pregame inactives and temper expectations if Starks is indeed active.Christine Michael, Seattle Seahawks, hamstring, (Q): Surprise! Michael was a very late addition to the injury report when a hamstring injury turned up for him on Friday, leaving his Sunday status in doubt. With Rawls still out, the run game looks to be primarily in the hands of C.J. Prosise this week, even as coach Pete Carroll was already hinting at increased touches for him.Players Off Game Status Injury Report: Spencer Ware, Kansas City Chiefs, concussion: Ware was cleared to play earlier in the week. After a week of full practices, Ware is expected to play without limitation Sunday.Lamar Miller, Houston Texans, shoulder: Miller played in Week 8, sprained shoulder and all. He wasnt at full strength, but he still managed to get in the end zone. The bye week came at the perfect time for him, allowing him to return to practice each day this week (limited Wednesday and Thursday, full on Friday). His removal from the game status injury report indicates he is expected to play against the Jaguars.Jerick McKinnon, ankle and Ronnie Hillman, heel, Minnesota Vikings: McKinnon overcame an ankle injury that kept him out of practice early last week to play in the Week 9 contest. His production was limited however (just eight yards on seven carries) and he was in a workload share with Ronnie Hillman and Matt Asiata. McKinnons ankle has improved to the point where he was a full participant in practice throughout the week and he was removed from the game status injury report. Still, its hard to predict how the division of carries will play out this week against Washington. As for Hillman, he appeared on the practice injury report but participated fully all week and is removed from the game status injury report. Expect McKinnon, Hillman and Asiata to all see time on the field.Devontae Booker, Denver Broncos, shoulder: Booker played in Week 9 after sustaining a bruised shoulder the week before and had no reported setbacks. He was a full participant in practice throughout the week, and his removal from the game status injury report comes as no surprise.KaDeem Carey, Chicago Bears, illness: Carey appeared on the injury report due to illness and missed a practice day Wednesday. He was back in full practice Thursday and Friday, however, and is off the game status injury report.Matt Forte, New York Jets, knee: This is now familiar; Forte has a light day Wednesday, then a full day Thursday and Friday. He is expected to make his usual start Sunday.DeMarco Murray, toe and Derrick Henry, calf, Tennessee Titans: The surprise here is Henry, who didnt participate in practice until Friday. Henry strained his calf in pregame warmups last Sunday and was held out of the game. It may be that the decision to rest him in Week 9 aided in his quick recovery. Henry was back as a full participant in Fridays practice, and the team has enough confidence in his health to completely remove him from the game status injury report.Murray has been on the injury report for a couple weeks now with a right toe injury. This week, coach Mike Mularkey said Murrays toe is improving but still painful, given the repeated planting and cutting he subjects it to while playing. Murray was given an off day Wednesday, had a limited practice Thursday and returned to full work Friday. There is no reason to expect him to suddenly give up a dramatic portion of the workload unless he sustains an in-game setback (or another injury). But the insurance Henry provides has to give the Titans some peace of mind, and it wouldnt be surprising to see him at least get some spot work this week.Wide ReceiversDez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys, knee, (Q): It seems a bit odd that Bryant continues to be listed as questionable because of his knee since he has already played in two games since the injury and he has practiced without limitation all week. There have been no hints out of Dallas that Bryant is expected to do anything other than suit up and play.Allen Hurns, Jacksonville Jaguars, concussion, (Q): Hurns sat out Wednesdays practice with a concussion but received clearance to return to limited practice Thursday. He was again a limited participant Friday but had yet to receive full clearance for game play, hence the questionable designation. As of now, his status remains uncertain. This is an early game Sunday, so there will be time for fantasy owners to make a roster change if Hurns cannot go.Will Fuller V, Houston Texans, knee, (Q): Fuller exited the Week 8 game against the Lions with a knee injury. Despite the bye week in the interim, Fuller was limited in practice throughout this week. Between Braxton Miller taking increased practice reps with the first team and coach Bill OBrien saying early in the week that Fuller could be a game-time call, its hard to feel confident about his questionable status. Fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere.Travis Benjamin, knee, (D) and Tyrell Williams, knee, (Q), San Diego Chargers: It is clear that Benjamin is struggling with his PCL-injured knee. Visibly in and out of last weeks contest, he was a non-participant in practice the entire week, a downgrade from what he has done in the past. The doubtful designation certainly makes it appear he will not be available for the Chargers Sunday.Williams had a more typical week. He was not in practice Wednesday but returned to limited work Thursday and Friday. Given that he has played through the questionable tag for several weeks, it stands to reason Williams will do the same again. Perhaps no team will be more excited for their bye than the decimated Chargers, who will have next week off. In the meantime, theyll host the Dolphins at home Sunday in a late (4:05 p.m. ET) kickoff.Jarvis Landry, Miami Dolphins, shoulder, (Q): Landry was added to the injury report Thursday when he did not practice after experiencing discomfort Wednesday. He was able to return to a limited practice on Friday but his status remains uncertain. Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald says the Dolphins expect Landry to play.DeSean Jackson, Washington Redskins, shoulder, (D): Jackson didnt participate in a single practice in order to rest his shoulder. Despite an MRI that turned up no significant structural damage, coach Jay Gruden said Jackson was dealing with rotator cuff issues. The doubtful tag makes it easy for fantasy owners to stay away; the hope is that this will be a short-lived absence.Julian Edelman, foot and Chris Hogan, back, (Q), New England Patriots: Edelman has been a fixture on the injury report because of his foot and continues to stay limited in practice throughout the week. He has not missed any games, and that is not expected to change this week.Hogan is a different story. He was added to the Patriots injury report Friday because of his back and did not practice. There is little detail as to the nature or severity of Hogans ailment, but a Friday addition to the injury report with a questionable designation heading into a Sunday night game all makes for trouble for fantasy owners.Victor Cruz, New York Giants, ankle, (Q): Cruz sprained his ankle in Week 9, and while his teammate Odell Beckham Jr. did not expect him to miss time, Cruz appeared a little more cautious. He did say that if he missed Monday nights game, he planned on being available the next week. Cruz was held out of practice all week but has been doing some side work with the rehab staff. Given Cruzs recent injury history, it would not come as a surprise if the team held him out. Either way, it appears the decision will not be finalized until Monday.Eddie Royal, Chicago Bears, toe, (Q): Royal has been out since Week 6 with a toe injury. Coming out of the Week 9 bye, Royal was a daily practice participant on a limited basis. Although he comes into the game as questionable, ESPN.coms Jeff Dickerson reports Royal has made it clear he wants to play in this game. Outside of Week 4, Royals fantasy production has been limited, and Alshon Jeffery is expected to continue to be Cutlers lead target.Players Off Game Status Injury Report: Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers, hamstring: This is great news. Cobb missed the Week 8 contest with a hamstring injury sustained the week before. In Week 9, Cobb was declared active but remained on the sidelines for the bulk of the game, entering late and notching just two receptions. One happened to result in a touchdown, but it was clear the team was avoiding anything that would force Cobb to stretch the field. This week, Cobb participated in daily practices on a limited basis, and by the end of the week the team was confident enough in his health to remove him from the game status injury report.Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, concussion: Evans now says he didnt have a concussion, but he was placed in the concussion protocol nonetheless. He was cleared for full practice early in the week and there was little doubt he would be ready for the Week 10 game after practicing daily without setbacks. His removal from the game status injury report underscores the teams expectation that he will play his usual role.John Brown, hamstring and Larry Fitzgerald, ankle, Arizona Cardinals: Its a great relief to fantasy owners to see both of these players off the injury report in advance of Sundays game. Brown has been battling some issues related to his hamstring for several weeks while Fitzgerald sprained his ankle just last week. Both were kept to limited practices Wednesday and Thursday. Fitzgerald remained limited Friday, undoubtedly a means of protecting him for game day, while Brown upgraded to full work Friday. Both are expected to play Sunday, but its worth noting that coach Bruce Arians bumped J.J. Nelson up to No. 2 receiver (Michael Floyd comes in at No. 3 while Brown is now No.4). It seems the most consistent option is Fitzgerald, who remains, unsurprisingly, the number one receiver for Arizona.Brandon Marshall, New York Jets, foot: Marshall is on the injury report weekly but is removed for games and continues to play. He will do the same again this week.Tight EndsHunter Henry, San Diego Chargers, knee, (Q): Henry is still bothered by his knee and was only a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He was able to upgrade to full practice Friday, and it appears he will take the field Sunday alongside Antonio Gates (no longer on the injury report). Fantasy owners should be aware that this is a late game (4:05 p.m. ET) and should have a backup plan in the event Henry is inactive.Martellus Bennett, New England Patriots, ankle, (Q): Nothing has changed here. Bennett continues to appear on the injury report as he is limited in practice to rest his ankle. He has yet to miss a game, so there is little reason to worry about his status heading into Sunday nights contest against the Seahawks.Jared Cook, Green Bay Packers, ankle, (D): The Packers are excited about the return of Cook to practice after he missed more than a month with an ankle injury. Although he is making progress, he is not quite game ready, hence the doubtful tag. Cook is expected to sit this week out but his return does not appear far off.Players Off Game Status Injury Report: Delanie Walker, Tennessee Titans, groin: Last week Walker was a late addition to the injury report , et he played and emerged no worse for the wear. Its a relief for fantasy owners to see him off the game status injury report heading into Week 10 as there are no tough decisions to make. Walker was a full participant throughout the week and is expected to play against the Packers.Jimmy Graham, Seattle Seahawks, knee: Graham was running with abandon Monday night, looking like the Jimmy Graham who used to play in New Orleans. Its great to see an athlete return from a career-threatening injury, not just to play once again but to play at his former level. Although he continues to appear on the practice injury report, Graham is off the game status injury report as usual.Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers, knee: Despite being listed on the practice injury report because of his knee, Gates was a full practice participant both Thursday and Friday. With Hunter Henry listed as questionable, Gates is the favored option (although Henry is likely to play).Players already ruled outThis space is intended for a list of key players, not including those who have been moved to injured reserve status, who are officially listed as Out for the upcoming game.Tevin Coleman, RB, Atlanta Falcons, hamstring: Coleman will now miss his third straight game with a hamstring strain. He has not yet returned to practice, but he has increased his running activity. With the Falcons on bye next week, it appears Coleman could be ready to return in Week 12.Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, foot: Rodgers absence doesnt come as much of a surprise considering he remained out of practice the entire week. He did shed the walking boot early in the week but was wearing it again Friday. It appears he has a ways to go before he can return to action.Jeremy Maclin, WR, Kansas City Chiefs, groin: Maclin tried to play through a groin injury in Week 9 but he didnt last long. After his exit in the first quarter, head coach Andy Reid indicated Maclin could miss some time. He didnt practice all week and has already been ruled out for Week 10.Jacob Tamme, TE, Atlanta Falcons, shoulder: After Tamme was injured in Week 8, head coach Dan Quinn said he didnt believe it to be a long-term injury. Still, Tamme will now miss his second straight game and ESPN.coms Vaughn McClure reports Tamme is considering surgery. It certainly sounds like it could be a long-term injury now.DeAngelo Williams, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers, knee: Williams underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Thursday and is out for this week. The team has offered little in the way of detail or timetable, but one would expect him to be out several weeks at a minimum.Thomas Rawls, RB, Seattle Seahawks, fibula: Rawls has resumed running, but his earliest projected return was bumped to Week 11. He remains out this week.Be sure to check out Fantasy Football Now, Sundays on ESPN2 at 11 a.m. ET, for last-minute inactives, rankings, injury impact and more! Cheap Air Jordan 1 Retro . Missouri also had gone 5 of 12 on field-goal attempts this season before Saturday. The Tigers kicking game has struggled so much that they decided to go for it rather than attempting a field goal while facing fourth-and-12 from the Tennessee 20 early in the second quarter. After Missouri was penalized for a false start, the Tigers still kept their offense on the field to try converting the first down on fourth-and-17 from the 25. The drive ended with an incomplete pass.Tennessee: The Vols defense remains extremely vulnerable, particularly against the run.
